Builders rubble
Builders rubble removal in Cardiff and Newport
Bricks, plaster, timber, tiles and strip-out waste taken off site. One clear at the end of a job, or repeat visits right the way through a build.
Cheaper than a skip, and no permit to wait for
A skip on a Cardiff street needs a permit from the council, sits there taking a parking space, and gets filled overnight by whoever walks past. Our van turns up, gets loaded by us, and leaves. No permit, no waiting for a wagon, and nobody else’s rubbish in your load.
We take rubble off site during a build as well as at the end of one. Plenty of the trades we work with have us back every few days rather than hiring a skip for the whole job, because a van you can call on Tuesday is more use than a skip you paid for on Monday.
- Bricks, blocks, concrete and hardcore

What we take
What counts as builders rubble
If it came out of a building or came down in a garden, it is probably rubble to us — and it rarely travels alone. Builders rubble removal and construction waste removal are the same job in the same van — we take both.
Most site waste is mixed: the sink that came off the wall lands on the plasterboard, and the plasterboard lands on the bricks. That is fine by us — we take mixed loads of rubble and general waste in the same van, and sort everything at the other end. Like every load we carry, it goes to licensed facilities and is sorted for recycling rather than buried.
Plasterboard gets its own treatment. Because of its gypsum content it is separated and recycled through its own stream, so it does not end up rotting in landfill and letting off gas.

Jobs we clear on a weekly basis
Bathroom and kitchen rip-outs, extensions and renovations, loft conversions, full strip-outs before plastering, paving and hard landscaping, and the pile of site waste that appears before the plumber or electrician starts. If you are mid-project and the pile is growing, send a photo — we quote a flat price and can often come the same day. One clear, or repeat visits through the build.
Prices
What it costs
By the van load, same as everything else. Our vans carry up to 1.1 tonnes, which for rubble matters more than the cubic yards — a van full of brick weighs a great deal more than a van full of sofas.
Quarter van
£160 loaded & swept
A bathroom rip-out, or a chimney breast
Half van
£290 loaded & swept
A kitchen, or a run of plasterboard
Full van
£450 loaded & swept
A full strip-out, up to 1.1 tonnes
Good to know
Builders rubble removal — your questions answered
Do you take bricks and plaster?
Yes — bricks, blocks, concrete, plaster and plasterboard are the bulk of what we shift. Plasterboard is separated and recycled through its own stream.
Can you take mixed loads of rubble and general waste?
Yes. A typical site load mixes rubble with packaging, timber and general waste, and we take it all in the same van and sort it at the licensed facility.
Is it cheaper than hiring a skip?
Almost always. A skip costs £250–£400 before you have loaded a brick into it, plus a council permit if it sits on the road — and you do all the loading. Our prices start at £160 for a quarter load, loading and sweeping included.
Do you offer trade accounts?
Yes. If you use us regularly we agree a rate rather than pricing each visit, and we invoice monthly instead of taking payment on the day.
Is there a weight limit per load?
Our vans carry up to 1.1 tonnes. Rubble is heavier than it looks, so big flag or concrete loads sometimes need two visits — we will tell you upfront if that applies, and price it honestly.
Can you clear rubble during a build, not just at the end?
Yes. We take site waste off during a build as well as at the end of one, and for ongoing work we agree a trade rate and invoice monthly.
Trade rates, and the two things we cannot take
If you are on site regularly we will agree a rate rather than pricing each visit, and invoice monthly. Most of the builders we work with in Cardiff and Newport ring the day before and we slot it in.
The two things we cannot take are fridges and asbestos. Anything you suspect is asbestos — old artex, garage roof sheets, some floor tiles — needs a licensed asbestos contractor, not us. Send a photo if you are unsure and we will tell you straight.
