FAQ
Questions we get asked every week
If yours is not here, ring or WhatsApp +44 7497 497223 and ask. No sales patter, just an answer.
How much does it cost?
Flat prices by the van load: £450 a full van, £290 a half, £160 a quarter. Black bin bags are £3 each, or £2.50 each once you're over 40. Sofas are £40 for a two-seater, £60 for a three-seater and £90 L-shaped, with £50 more if it's a sofa bed. Mattresses are £50 whatever the size. See the full price list.
Are there extra charges for sofas, mattresses or awkward items?
No. There are no extra charges for sofas, mattresses or any other item we accept within a van load. If it's going in as part of the load, the load price covers it.
What can't you take?
We accept everything except fridges and asbestos. If you're unsure about something, send a photo on WhatsApp and we'll tell you straight away.
How do you work out the price?
From a photo. Send one through WhatsApp, email or text, or show us in person, and we'll estimate the van load from it. These are rough estimates and are subject to change — the price could be lower or higher once the van is actually loaded.
What if there's more than you estimated?
We're fair about it. Go a bit over and we won't charge you extra. We'd only change the price if what's actually there is massively different to what we were shown.
When do I pay?
Our policy is that payment is made when the van is loaded — no exceptions. Card or cash on the day. Businesses on a regular arrangement can be invoiced instead.
How big are your vans?
Large high-roof vans measuring 16 cubic yards — about 1.5× the size of the tipper vans most rubbish companies use. You're paying for space, so that's better value for the same money.
How quickly can you collect?
Often the same day, especially in Cardiff and Newport. Otherwise it's usually next day, and you get a time window rather than "sometime Tuesday".
Are you licensed and insured?
Both. We're a registered waste carrier with Natural Resources Wales, licence number CBDU034669, and we're fully insured with public liability cover. Ask any waste company for their licence number — if they won't give it, walk away, because if your waste is fly-tipped it's you the council comes after.
Do I need to move everything outside first?
No. We come in and get it from wherever it is — upstairs bedroom, loft, back garden, behind the shed. That's what you're paying for.
What areas do you cover?
We service Cardiff, Newport and all surrounding areas. Check your postcode here. A bit further out? Ask anyway — we travel for bigger jobs.
I'm a business — can we set something up?
Yes. If you're a business or tradesperson needing us regularly, get in touch and we'll see what we can offer you. Builders, letting agents, shops and landlords all use us on repeat, with agreed rates, transfer notes and invoicing.
Is it cheaper than hiring a skip?
Usually, once you add up the skip hire, the permit if it has to sit on the road, and the days you spend loading it yourself. Our vans are also bigger than a standard tipper, so a full load goes further.
Someone fly-tipped on my land. Is that my problem?
Unfortunately yes — on private land the landowner is responsible for clearing it, however unfair that feels. Photograph it and report it to the council first, then ring us. We prioritise these because a pile left sitting attracts more.
Not sure?
Still got a question?
Whether it's a question about the areas we cover or whether we'll take something, just ask. Phone, WhatsApp, email or the green WhatsApp button in the corner of your screen — all of them reach us directly, and we answer quickly.
